about me

As a modern business operations and strategic communication specialist, my portfolio spans the for-profit, nonprofit, and government sectors with work generated both as a direct employee and as a contract consultant. Currently, I work for the City of Shawnee, Oklahoma building the visitor economy in addition to running a growing IT Managed Services company with my husband, Turner. Feel free to browse through my portfolio for past projects and accomplishments.

Originally from the tiny town of Marlow in southwest Oklahoma, I have the distinction of choosing to move to Shawnee twice! First coming to Shawnee in 2011, I put myself through college as a server, graduating cum laude from Oklahoma Baptist University with a degree in English and minor in Art. I then moved to Denver, Colorado where I worked in education technology and volunteered heavily in serving refugee populations there. In late 2017 after the birth of my daughter Indigo, we moved back to Shawnee to be closer to family and in a city we loved!

Since returning to Oklahoma, I have implemented a composting program at a local community garden (2018-2020), served as a precinct official for the Pottawatomie County Election Board (2020 - present), and served a full term as Chair of the Shawnee Forward Ambassadors (2021). I was elected as the first Director of Programming for Pottawatomie County Young Professionals (PCYP) in November 2022, a term which I will fulfill in 2024.

In 2020, I was named one of Shawnee Forward's Forward 15, and in 2023 I was honored to be selected for the Oklahoma Arts Council's prestigious Leadership Arts program, and I'm set to graduate in October with Class 12.

I enjoy good coffee, making music with my husband, painting with my daughter, and challenging the status quo of how organizations run & how work happens.
